Japan Vision Trip 2024 Update

Hello friends!

Here is a little update from me:

As you may remember, last summer, after graduating with my Master's degree in teaching, I went on a vision trip to Japan with a team and had the chance to visit Covenant Community School International (CCSI), a Christian international school in Chiba, for a day. As an aspiring teacher, I not only wanted to use my talent to teach students academic subjects but also tell them about the Gospel, so while preparing to go, I prayed to God that He would give me clarity and discernment, regarding whether he would want me to serve and teach at this school. As I spent some time with the students and the staff who were so joyful but also heard about the needs of the school, I began to envision myself serving and teaching at CCSI. My desire to return and serve at CCSI someday continued. Even in my walk with the

Lord after the vision trip, I have been praying to see if He wants me to go back, and I am filled with joy to say that He has allowed me to go to Japan again. With all of this said, I will be going back to Japan from June 19th to July 4th for two weeks, and during this time, I will be visiting CCSI. While I am at CCSI, I will be seeing what a typical day at the school looks like by shadowing classes and possibly helping out in order to gain further clarity as to whether the Lord wants me to return to teach and serve at the school long-term one day.

As I prepare to leave in almost a month, I ask for your support mainly through prayer, as my financial expenses have already been covered. Here are ways that you can pray for me:

For me:

• That God would help me to treasure Christ in my daily walk with Him so that I can be filled with His love and be an encouragement to the people at CCSI
  

• That God would protect me physically, mentally, and spiritually while I am in Japan

For CCSI:

• That God would give the students at CCSI the desire to learn more about Him and the Gospel

• That God would give the teachers at CCSI the strength to teach and pour out His love to the students
  

• CCSI is currently short of people who can serve, so please pray for God to send more faithful workers to help the students at the school.
