Hey everyone! Just a brief description of what was done today. The team had a tour of Christ Bible Institute (CBI) and went on a prayer walk around Nagoya. We explored the city a bit and prayed for the Japanese natives in Nagoya. We’ve specifically prayed for more believers and for more Japanese natives to attend seminaries such as CBI. Later, we traveled and arrived at the outskirts of Nagoya to visit Nagoya Nisshin Church where we helped prepare food and ran activities for local college students.

Hey, this is David Lam! It has been a complete joy to be here in Japan for so long already. It’s been just under a week now, and I’ve already seen so much of God’s hand working in the lives of the Japanese who live here. Today, we joined a church in Nagoya for a college ministry event that they call “hospi,” short for hospitality night. It’s a weekly outreach event with food, a short message (about 5 minutes), and games.
The church that hosts hospi is placed strategically within walking distance of 6 college campuses with a combined student body of around 50,000 students. An hour prior to the event starting, two others went with me to the nearest college to find students to invite. I walked up to three guys and invited them.
Praise God, because two hours into the three hour long event, they showed up at the church with two more guys. Tonight was the first night they ever stepped into a church, and their chances of hearing the gospel skyrocketed after tonight. They were interested in coming back in the following weeks as well, so please pray that they will be able to get well connected to that church and establish close friendships with the people there.
